A Dutch 18th century coat from the V&A archive was the inspiration for this powerful damask design. Based on photographs of the original garment, skilful textile designer Claire Hayward was able to piece together the complete pattern. Something even the V&A had never seen.

This design used to be a classic wallpaper sold by the roll. It is now printed as a wide width wallpaper sold by the linear metre.
